{"id":75654,"date":"2022-01-14T05:03:37","date_gmt":"2022-01-14T04:03:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zen-hopper.82-223-81-17.plesk.page\/2022\/01\/14\/albares-and-di-maio-discuss-the-creation-of-a-spanish-italian-investment-forum\/"},"modified":"2022-01-14T05:03:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-14T04:03:37","slug":"albares-and-di-maio-discuss-the-creation-of-a-spanish-italian-investment-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/en\/2022\/01\/14\/albares-and-di-maio-discuss-the-creation-of-a-spanish-italian-investment-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Albares and Di Maio discuss the creation of a Spanish-Italian investment forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong>The Diplomat<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares<\/strong>, met yesterday in Brest (France) with <strong>his Italian counterpart, Luigi di Maio<\/strong>, with whom he addressed issues such as the EU&#8217;s southern neighborhood, stability in the Mediterranean and the possible creation of <strong>an investment forum for the joint participation of companies from the two countries in EU-funded projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As reported by Albares through his Twitter account, the two ministers held a meeting in the margins of the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers (Gymnich) in which they discussed &#8220;mechanisms to further strengthen our bilateral political and economic relationship, shared priorities in the EU and the Southern Neighborhood, key to Mediterranean stability.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For his part, Di Maio reported through the same social network that he had held a meeting with Albares, in which both noted their &#8220;satisfaction with the bilateral relations of Italy and Spain and the joint work in the EU&#8221; and exchanged &#8220;opinions on the electoral process in Libya&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to diplomatic sources informed the Europa Press agency, the two ministers also discussed the possibility of creating a joint investment forum so that companies from each of the two countries can participate in projects financed by Next Generation EU in the other country.
