This January will be a great forum for authors and writers from different fields in Casa Mediterr\u00e1neo’s<\/strong> cultural programme.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the series Historias del Mediterr\u00e1neo,<\/em> Pere Cardona <\/strong>(pictured), author of Osos, \u00e1tomos y esp\u00edas: historias sorprendentes de la Guerra Fr\u00eda (Bears, Atoms and Spies: Surprising Stories of the Cold War),<\/em> will give a conference on The Cold War in the Mediterranean <\/em><\/strong>on 14th January. That same week, the writer Carmen J. Nieto<\/strong> will talk about the production of noir literature in the series Women Writers of the Mediterranean.<\/em> Continuing with literature, other activities will include the former mayor of Valencia from 1979-1989, Ricard P\u00e9rez Casado,<\/strong> who will present his work Desigualdades mediterr\u00e1neas, reto del siglo XXI (Mediterranean Inequalities, the Challenge of the 21st Century)<\/em><\/strong> on 27 January.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To reflect with the public on Women and Science in the Mediterranean<\/em> and to tell the female vision of the other shore, Ahlem Amina Taleb Bendiab,<\/strong> lecturer in the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences at the University of Oran, will take part to reflect with the public on Women and Science in the Mediterranean<\/em><\/strong> and to tell the female vision of the other shore.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Likewise, and as part of the Geostrategy and the Mediterranean<\/em> programme, on 31 January there will be a talk given by Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Mariano P\u00e9rez,<\/strong> Head of the III BIEM of the UME, who will talk about The UME: an example for Euro-Mediterranean countries<\/em><\/strong> and will highlight the recognition and work they carry out in different situations throughout the country.
