On Fridays and Saturdays from the 22nd to the 30th of October and on the 12th and 13th of November at 7.30pm, Casa de Am\u00e9rica<\/strong> offers the opportunity to see one of the most notable opera primas of recent Ibero-American film production, the Peruvian film Canci\u00f3n sin nombre,<\/em><\/strong> directed by the director and screenwriter Melina Le\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Canci\u00f3n sin nombre has been part of the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival, France, 2019 (Directors’ Fortnight) and has received, among other awards, the Col\u00f3n de Oro for Best Feature Film, the Col\u00f3n de Plata for Best Direction and the Col\u00f3n de Plata for Best Technical-Artistic Contribution at the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival, Spain, 2019. Inspired by true events, it is the story of Georgina Condori, an Andean woman whose newborn baby mysteriously disappears. In the midst of the political chaos of the time, Pedro Campos, a young journalist from Lima, takes charge of the investigation and embarks on a desperate search with her.
