Foreign Action and Cooperation Law<\/strong><\/a>, following its publication in the Official State Gazette last Friday.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
The law was passed in the Galician Parliament on 23 February with the PP voting in favour, the Galician Socialist Party against and the Bloque Nacional Galego abstaining, after having received the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The text aims to provide Galicia with the tools and resources to develop its external action and project itself both in the European Union and the rest of the world.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Among its objectives are “the improvement of Galicia’s projection abroad, with greater coordination of external action, the written regulation of this territory’s participation in international treaties on issues that concern it, and achieving a greater presence in development cooperation”.<\/p>\n
