Casa Mediterr\u00e1neo is preparing a month of April full of activities with the current affairs and culture of the Euro-Mediterranean area as protagonists. The cycles and meetings will begin next week and will feature speakers and thinkers of the moment, who will emphasise the social, political and economic reality of the Mare Nostrum.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Mediterranean news will start on Thursday 8 April with a meeting with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Garc\u00eda-Margallo<\/strong> in the forum More Europe in the Mediterranean<\/em> at the Club Informaci\u00f3n, followed by a new session of Journalists and the Mediterranean<\/em> with the TVE correspondent in Paris, Almudena Ariza <\/strong>(pictured), on the 13th in collaboration with the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University.<\/p>\n

Mediterranean current affairs will be rounded off with the conference Turkey, beyond the Mediterranean, given by the Professor of Contemporary History and author of the book The Turk,<\/em> Francisco Veiga;<\/strong> the correspondent of El Pa\u00eds<\/em> in Istanbul, Andr\u00e9s Mourenza,<\/strong> and the analyst of the Real Instituto Elcano, Ilke Toyg\u00fcr,<\/strong> in the series Mediterranean Today.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Spanish-Serbian economic relations will be the focus of the Economy and the Mediterranean <\/em>session on Friday 16th, which will feature speeches by the former Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Spanish Embassy in Serbia, Javier \u00c1lvarez Casanova, <\/strong>and the Director General of EPTISA Engineering Services, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Soriano;<\/strong> while the chief economist of the World Bank and Director of the Centre for Mediterranean Integration, Blanca Moreno-Dodson,<\/strong> will participate on 26th April in a meeting on Women and the Mediterranean,<\/em> in which she will present her latest work entitled Enhancing Mediterranean integration.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Gastronomy and the Mediterranean<\/em> series will feature the participation of British activist Tristram Stuart,<\/strong> author of the book Squander: The Global Food Scandal, <\/em><\/strong>on 19 April. On the other hand, a year after the beginning of the confinement caused by the Covid-19 crisis and in view of the current pandemic fatigue, the Psychology and the Mediterranean<\/em> series will feature the television presenter Pedro Garc\u00eda Aguado<\/strong> to talk about Mental health in the post-pandemic: psychology in the face of discouragement,<\/em><\/strong> on Thursday the 29th.<\/p>\n

Casa Mediterr\u00e1neo reminds that the activities will begin, as usual, at 7pm through its social networks and its website,<\/strong><\/a> where all the information about the April programme can be consulted. In addition, the activities can be seen in rebroadcast on the YouTube channel and in podcast format from the Spotify channel of the diplomatic institution.<\/p>\n
