The PP has asked the Government to clarify whether it is the second vice-president, Pablo Iglesias, who directs foreign policy<\/strong> and what strategy it intends to follow to recover Spain’s prestige, which it considers is being affected by the lack of coherence among the members of the cabinet.<\/p>\n

In a question to the Government to which Europa Press<\/em> had access, the deputies Valent\u00edina Mart\u00ednez and Marta Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> are interested in knowing “what the Government is going to do to counteract” the declarations of Iglesias questioning that Spain is a full democracy.<\/p>\n

Likewise, they ask to know if the Executive considers that “the lack of coherence between the members of the coalition Government negatively affects the credibility and image of Spain” and if it believes that the “constant confrontations” between Iglesias and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha Gonz\u00e1lez Laya<\/strong>, “benefit the image” of Spain.<\/p>\n

In this sense, they ask if “the lack of seriousness that these constant confrontations reflect is the reason” why there has not yet been a contact between the new Administration of Joe Biden<\/strong> in the United States and the Government, both at the level of presidents and heads of diplomacy.<\/p>\n
