The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha Gonz\u00e1lez Laya<\/strong>, has set out a series of limitations for the questions that participants can ask at the Conference of Ambassadors<\/strong> that will take place on the 11th and 12th at Casa Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Conference will have a hybrid format, with some of the ambassadors present at Casa Am\u00e9rica and others connected by videoconference from the countries in which they are stationed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The instructions received by the ambassadors from the Undersecretariat are that “for practical reasons” those participating telematically will not be able to ask questions<\/strong> of any of the members of the government and senior officials involved.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In other words, only those who attend in person will be able to<\/strong> do so, and these will only be able to direct their questions at the ministerial sessions<\/strong>, which will be led by the third and fourth Vice-presidents of the Government (Nadia Calvi\u00f1o and Teresa Ribera), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha Gonz\u00e1lez Laya; the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska; and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The ambassadors, therefore, may not, under any circumstances, present their issues to the secretaries of state, undersecretaries and directors-general of the various areas involved.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Conference, which recovers an initiative that was suspended in 2008, will be opened on 11 May by the President of the Government, Pedro S\u00e1nchez, and closed on 12 May by His Majesty the King, as announced by The Diplomat.<\/p>\n
