Casa de Am\u00e9rica hosts in Madrid the exhibition “In their skin. Views for integration”, promoted by NGO Rescate and which brings together the works of nine internationally recognized photographers on the reality of refugees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It brings together the work of Diego Ibarra, Xavier Miserachs, Santi Palacios, Juan Manuel Castro Prieto, Mat\u00edas Costa, C\u00e9sar Dezfuli, Irene Zottola, Sebasti\u00e1n Bruno and Carmen Secanella. A selection that provides artistic solvency and strong journalistic value to the proposal. Acting as curator is photographer Samuel Aranda.<\/p>\n

At a time of great social debate about people requesting international protection, this exhibition provides a cultural and social vision different from the usual one, thanks to the vision of these professionals who portray the journey and arrival of refugees. Its approach combines informative interest, visual quality and social relevance. All of them have experienced firsthand the stories that are collected here. For years they have been present in contexts marked by displacement, loss, fear and hope, capturing with their cameras difficult realities that are often far from our daily gaze. But their contribution goes far beyond visual testimony: behind each image there is time, closeness, respect and a way of looking that always puts people’s dignity at the center.<\/p>\n

With more than 60 years of history, ONG Rescate is a Spanish organization dedicated to accompanying refugees, displaced people and victims of conflicts and natural disasters so that they can rebuild their lives and access their fundamental rights. Its intervention pays special attention to women and children, both in countries of origin and destination. In recent years, the majority of people welcomed in its centers have arrived from Venezuela, Colombia, Ukraine and Syria.<\/p>\n
