Tomorrow, Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Instituto Cervantes<\/strong> de Madrid (Alcal\u00e1 street, 49) pays homage in its hall to one of the great contemporary poets, Joan Margarit<\/strong> (1938-2021). Restricted entry with confirmed invitation or booking on Eventbrite.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Poet and architect, Joan Margarit was born in Sanahuja (Lleida) and was a professor of structural calculus at the Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona. Author of an extensive and renowned poetic work, he wrote mainly in Catalan and translated many of his books into Spanish. Among its most emblematic titles are Joana, Casa de Misericordia <\/em>or Estaci\u00f3n de Francia.<\/em> In 2019 he received the Miguel de Cervantes Prize, the highest award for literature in Spanish.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The tribute will feature the participation of Ram\u00f3n Andr\u00e9s, Juan Cruz, Pepa Fern\u00e1ndez, Jordi Gr\u00e0cia, Lola Larumbe <\/strong>and M\u00f3nica Margarit,<\/strong> as well as special interventions by Joan Manuel Serrat <\/strong>and Ana Bel\u00e9n.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The act will include a musical performance by Miguel Poveda,<\/strong> accompanied on piano by Joan Albert Amarg\u00f3s, and will be presented by Luis Garc\u00eda Montero <\/strong>and Emil Rosales. <\/strong>It is possible to follow the event online on the Institute\u2019s website<\/strong> <\/a>or through its YouTube<\/strong> <\/a>channel.<\/p>\n
