Next Dicember 10 at 12 o’clock, the Fundaci\u00f3n Alternativas<\/strong> presents the Report on the State of Culture in Spain 2025,<\/em><\/strong> prepared by the entity\u2019s Observatory of Culture and Communication.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this twelfth edition, the report analyses the major challenges facing culture today: the crisis of multilateralism, digital acceleration and new geopolitical and cultural tensions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The presentation will be attended by Ernest Urtasun,<\/strong> Minister of Culture, who emphasizes that culture is a powerful channel for dialogue, reconciliation and understanding.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In line with the spirit of MONDIACULT 2025 (Barcelona), the document stresses the need to rearm citizens against hate speech and exclusion, positioning culture as a global public good and a pillar of social welfare, sustainable development and peace.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Report also proposes that Culture be recognised as an independent Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) in the post-2015 agenda, highlighting its essential role against polarization and disinformation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After a welcoming speech by Manuel Guti\u00e9rrez-Arag\u00f3n,<\/strong> film director and president of the Fundaci\u00f3n Alternativas and Diego L\u00f3pez Garrido,<\/strong> executive vice president of the Fundaci\u00f3n Alternativas, special intervention by Minister Ernest Urtasun<\/strong> and presentation of the survey results by Patricia Corredor,<\/strong> URJC professor and author of the report; Juana Escudero,<\/strong> jurist specializing in European Community Law and author of the report; Javier Iturralde de Bracamonte,<\/strong> director of Metric Salad Arts & Culture, researcher and lecturer and author of the Report; Elena Rosillo,<\/strong> cultural journalist, professor at the European University and author of the Report; and Ignacio Pe\u00f1a,<\/strong> coordinator of Health Between Cultures and author of the Report.
