Industrial and trade policies in China, the EU and the US.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The conference will take place at the <strong>Auditorium of Naturgy<\/strong> in Avenida de Am\u00e9rica, 38, with <a href=\"https:\/\/streamstudio.world-television.com\/CCUIv3\/registration.aspx?ticket=429-1661-41651&amp;target=es-reg-&amp;status=preview&amp;browser=ns-0-1-0-0-0\"><strong>online<\/strong> <\/a>broadcasting and simultaneous translation into Spanish and English.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will address how the European Union can align its industrial and trade policies with competitive decarbonisation, in an international context marked by geopolitical tensions and technological transformation. The implications of China\u2019s leadership in key technologies, US industrial policy developments and opportunities for transatlantic cooperation will also be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event will be opened by <strong>Mar\u00eda Eugenia Coronado,<\/strong> general director of Fundaci\u00f3n Naturgy, and <strong>Charles Powell,<\/strong> director of the Real Instituto Elcano, welcoming the attendees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Opening session will be held by Mr <strong>Nicol\u00e1s Gonz\u00e1lez Casares,<\/strong> MEP and member of the European Parliament\u2019s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. Then there will be a colloquium, followed by questions, moderated by <strong>Gonzalo Escribano, <\/strong>director of the Energy and Climate Program at the Real Instituto Elcano, in which <strong>Samantha Gross,<\/strong> director of Energy Security and Climate Initiative, Brookings Institution, will participate; <strong>Pedro Linares,<\/strong> professor, Comillas Pontifical University ICAI-IIT; director, Economics for Energy, and <strong>Jiayi Zhou, <\/strong>researcher, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
