The President of the Government, Pedro S\u00e1nchez, met this Monday with the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jozef S\u00edkela, with whom he discussed, among other matters, the European Commission’s participation in the IV International Conference on Financing for Development, which will be held in Seville between June 30 and July 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the meeting, held at the Moncloa Palace, S\u00e1nchez and S\u00edkela reviewed Europe’s position on some of the upcoming milestones in foreign relations, such as the VII European Union-Africa (EU-AU) Summit and the IV European Union-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-CELAC) Summit.<\/p>\n

The president and the commissioner also discussed the European Commission’s participation in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, and Pedro S\u00e1nchez conveyed to Jozef S\u00edkela the importance of this meeting representing “a step forward in defense of the multilateral order, and particularly an ambitious commitment to strengthening international cooperation led by the European Union,” according to a press release from the Moncloa (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).<\/p>\n

Jozef S\u00edkela is scheduled to meet this Tuesday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares, according to the Commission. S\u00edkela and Albares held their initial meeting on March 19 in Brussels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
