{"id":113859,"date":"2025-04-10T06:06:07","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T04:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/?p=113859"},"modified":"2025-04-09T20:09:55","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T18:09:55","slug":"colombia-ecuador-honduras-and-paraguay-sign-an-agreement-on-labor-migration-with-galicia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/en\/2025\/04\/10\/colombia-ecuador-honduras-and-paraguay-sign-an-agreement-on-labor-migration-with-galicia\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, and Paraguay sign an agreement on labor migration with Galicia."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><strong>The Diplomat<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>The Xunta of Galicia and the ambassadors of Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras and Paraguay signed last Tuesday a Declaration of Intent to promote collaboration on labour migration.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This convergence, promoted by the Xunta de Galicia with its President <strong>Alfonso Rueda<\/strong> at the head of it, aims to strengthen a collaboration that allows nationals of the participating states to be fully integrated into training programmes, Vocational training in Galicia, as well as facilitating their access to job placement and guidance services.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This Declaration of Intent also seeks to open effective ways for nationals of the participating states to access employment opportunities in Galicia, respecting national and international regulations on migration and labour rights.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, initiatives will be promoted to make better use of the available resources of each participant with the aim of improving the training and employability of migrant workers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Among the ambassadors who signed, <strong>Eduardo \u00c1vila,<\/strong> ambassador of Colombia, highlighted that &#8220;he sees in this initiative an opportunity for our citizens and an exemplary model of international cooperation based on mutual benefit and respect for human dignity&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For her part, the ambassador of Ecuador, <strong>Wilma Andrade,<\/strong> stated, according to the note issued by her embassy, their satisfaction at having reached the signing of this agreement, which has been working for more than a year and will open up employment opportunities for Ecuadorians in the community of Galicia, that they will be able to come with the corresponding labour certification for immediate entry into the labour market and with all the guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Ambassador of Honduras, <strong>Marlon Brev\u00e9,<\/strong> also stated that &#8220;The government of Honduras thanks the president of the Xunta de Galicia for leading this initiative that promotes the creation of opportunities for our migrants to have access to decent jobs in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. We hope that this is the beginning of a cooperative relationship in which both parties involved are benefited, satisfying the employment needs of our migrant community as the need for labor faced by Galicia, under a scheme of regular migration, safe and tidy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Community of Galicia will make progress, within its competences and state regulations, in facilitating the approval of professional certifications, To enable nationals of the participating States to enter the labour market on terms commensurate with their training and
