From 16 to 30 of this month of March, the Teatro del Barrio<\/strong> de Madrid (calle Zurita, 20) presents the play Los libros ardieron (Death and life of Juanita Capdevielle), <\/em><\/strong>played by Natalie Pinot<\/strong> and written and directed by the actor Secun de la Rosa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Juanita Capdevielle is forced to leave A Coru\u00f1a after the execution of her husband, the lawyer and politician Francisco P\u00e9rez Carballo, civil governor of A Coru\u00f1a in August 1936. Hidden in the house of her friend Vitoriano Veiga goes unraveling the details of a lifetime, surrounded by books and literature, since she was a young dreamer in Pamplona to become the first woman director of the library of the Ateneo de Madrid.<\/strong> Tickets can be purchased at this link.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
