Until September 2025, Lol\u00f3 Corella<\/strong> and the Haitian sculptor Mireille Fombrum<\/strong> present in the Espacio Popular Contempor\u00e1neo del Monasterio de El Paular<\/strong><\/a> (Ctra. M-604 Km. 27.5 Rascafr\u00eda-28740 Madrid) the exhibition Recuerda a los ni\u00f1os del futuro (Remember the children of the future).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Curated by Nuria Hijano Baonza,<\/strong> the exhibition Remember the children of the future <\/em>is a dialogue between the color of the canvases of Lol\u00f3 Corella and the delicate sculptural forms of Mireille Fombrum. Both weave a message that elevates their artistic singing to show a chorus of protest against the cruelty of war and environmental drift that we humans are undergoing, and thereby destroying life on the planet.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A reproach for our inaction, a call to action. A cry that arises from the connection between flowers, insects, fish and children. The most fragile beings threatened and vulnerable in the latent global change. But by their beauty, innocence and joy they radiate hope, the greatest force that can drive a higher world.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 1955, Mireille Fombrum<\/strong> has been living in Spain since 1989. She is known for her work in large-format sculpture, using various materials such as ceramics, iron, bronze and, more recently, resin, aluminum casting and concrete. His work could be classified in the context of a figurative abstraction inspired by specific themes (series of Venus, natural children and petals…), whose shapes, colors and concepts evolve in relation to his research and experimentation of materials, He nevertheless maintained the guiding thread of a very own style throughout his work.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of San Juan de Puerto Rico,\u00a0 currently responsible for the conservation of a historical museum in Haiti, the Mus\u00e9e Ogier-Fombrum, and shares her time between her native land and Madrid. His work has been exhibited in various galleries and cultural spaces. Maintains works in private collections, galleries and official bodies in Spain, France, Sweden, Finland, Germany, the United States, Africa, Puerto Rico and Haiti, among others.<\/p>\n
