Germany has approximately 6 million people affected, which represents a prevalence of 10% of its adult population. Spain, with more than five million diabetics and a prevalence of 14.8%, is the second country in the EU with people affected by diabetes, highlights the Spanish Diabetes Society (SED), on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, which is celebrated on November 14.<\/p>\n<p>Other European countries with significant diabetes figures are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Portugal: Prevalence of 13% of the adult population.<\/li>\n<li>Italy: Prevalence of 9.9%.<\/li>\n<li>France: Prevalence of 8.6%.<\/li>\n<li>United Kingdom: Prevalence of
