This year\u2019s edition is dedicated to the theme <strong><em>Mediterranean diet and root cuisine: health and tradition,<\/em><\/strong> with the aim of promoting Italian food culture and the Mediterranean diet as a motor for growth and development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The programme in Spain includes more than 30 activities promoted by the <strong>Consulate General in Barcelona, <\/strong>the<strong> Viceconsulado in Arona, <\/strong>the<strong> Italian Cultural Institutes of Madrid and Barcelona, <\/strong>the<strong> bi national Chambers of Commerce in Madrid and Barcelona, <\/strong>and the<strong> Com.It.ES of Madrid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Italian Embassy<\/strong> in Madrid is organizing a series of initiatives that will start today with an event dedicated to <strong>space cuisine,<\/strong> part of the <strong><em>Science Week<\/em><\/strong> held annually in the Spanish capital. Combining science and gastronomy, the initiative will explore how cuisine can evolve even in extreme environments like space, elevating Italian creativity to unimaginable heights.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From next Saturday, November 16 to December 1, visitors to the permanent collection of the <strong>Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando<\/strong> of Madrid will have access to a thematic tour entitled <strong><em>The art of eating. The food in art,<\/em><\/strong> where you will be able to admire a selection of works by Italian, Spanish and international painters who have represented in their paintings typical foods of the Mediterranean diet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next Monday will be the turn of <strong><em>The Italian Show,<\/em><\/strong> an important occasion for Italian producers and restaurateurs who celebrate the authentic flavors of Italy, in a context that aims to make more widely known the Italian gastronomic culture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, on 20 November at the <strong>IES Hotel School,<\/strong> also thanks to the collaboration of the <strong>ICE Office in Madrid,<\/strong> two masterclasses will be held, in which Chef <strong>Antonio Scalera <\/strong>and Master Pastry Chef <strong>Fabrizio Galla<\/strong> will share their talent with the students of the institute.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian Ministry
