Ecuador’s Embassy offers a taste of ‘colada morada’ and ‘guagua de pan’
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The restaurant La Perla del Pacífico (calle de Francisco Villaespesa, 22) will host next 28 October at 18 hours a showcoocking organized by the Embassy of Ecuador in which the history of the colada morada and the guagua de pan will be told.

This ancient pre-Columbian tradition full of symbolism recalls the bond that always unites the Ecuadorians with their ancestors and the cultural connection between Ecuador and Spain.

Chef Miguel Monar, from the Pearl of the Pacific Group, will recreate the preparation of this recipe and then there will be the Guagua chef contest, in which a group of children aged 7 to 10 years will prepare their own bread guagua.

The capacity is limited, for this reason we ask you to confirm your attendance at cultural.espana@cancillería.gob.ec.
