From Spain to America: a journey with the Great Classics is the title of the concert that will be presented on 10 October at 7.30 pm by the Fundación Excelentia in the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
As a prelude to the Hispanic Day, the Foundation proposes an extraordinary concert, a journey through all of America -from the United States of Boston by Leonard Bernstein to Argentina by Alberto Ginastera-, with a look at the Motherland due to the Navarrese Pablo de Sarasate. With a special attention to the Mexican-land of trumpets- Arturo Márquez, with the Autumn Concert, composed specifically for Pacho Flores (pictured), who is undoubtedly one of the best trumpet players in the world.
The Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia, conducted by Andrés González, will perform La conga del fuego and Concierto de otoño, by Arturo Márquez; Estancia, “Malambo”, by Alberto Ginastera; Aires gitanos, by Pablo de Sarasate; Morocota / Labios Rojos, by Pacho Flores, and the suite from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.
