The Instituto Rumano de Cultura (Plaza del Cordón, 1, bottom right) invites in its auditorium next Friday, 20 September, at 7 p.m., to the screening of the documentary film My Bucharest – Jan Koneffke on Marcel Iancu, one of the initiators of Dadaism, in original version subtitled to Spanish.
Surrealism turns 100 this year, a simple literary idea that was transformed into an artistic movement, revolutionizing all forms of production and cultural industry, and for this reason this documentary about Marcel Iancu, in the photo, Bucharest, 1895 – Ein Hod, Israel, 1984), painter, architect, poet, musician, sculptor, lecturer and illustrator who went down in history as the co-founder of Dadaism, together with Tristan Tzara, and as an important exponent of Constructivism in Eastern Europe.
Also, will take place the presentation of the book Hope never goes up in elevator (Red Circle, 2024), under the ICR Library Madrid recommends. The event will be attended by its author, Simona Mihuțiu, and the translator and president of the Union Lucian Blaga, Ovidiu Constantin Cornilă. Simona Mihuțiu, a Romanian writer, addresses in the book two issues of great importance for all on a universal scale: the fragility and need for care of those who are at the end of life, and the interference of humanity with artificial intelligence and robots.
