According to a note from the Ministry of Defense, Robles, who will travel today to Isabel II Island, part of the Chafarinas archipelago, “recognized the work of those who carry out their work in the detachment deployed to these islets that watch over security and prepare every day to react to any incident.”
In Vélez de la Gomera, which is located halfway between Ceuta and Melilla, the minister spoke with members of a garrison of the Melilla Regular Group number 54 made up of about 25 people.
She then traveled to the islet of Alhucemas, located in front of the Moroccan city of the same name, and there, she also toured the facilities that are occupied by a group of 38 soldiers from the 1st Legion ‘Gran Capitán’ Regiment.
