Tomorrow, Thursday at 10 p.m., the Instituto Francés of Madrid continues with its Summer Cinema and screens the film María Montessori, directed last year by Léa Todorov. French projection with Spanish subtitles.
This film, played by Jasmin Trinca, Leïla Bekhti and Pietro Ragusa, tells the story of a mother whose daughter has a disability. In order to protect her career and reputation, the mother decides to partially hide her daughter, born out of wedlock, and leaves Paris to move to Rome. There he meets Maria Montessori, a doctor who is developing a revolutionary educational method to work with the so-called “deficient children” and that years later will become one of the most highly valued pedagogies in the world: the “Montessori Method”.
