Antón Leis, director of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID); Victoria Zuasti, director of the Santander Open Academy at Banco Santander; and Érika Rodríguez Pinzón, director of Fundación Carolina, chaired yesterday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the inauguration of the 19th edition of the Young Ibero-American Leaders program, which is being held until July 5 in Madrid, Brussels and Barcelona.
The Young Ibero-American Leaders program, organized by the Carolina Foundation and Banco Santander, has been held annually since 2002. In each edition, young Ibero-Americans are selected – 25 in this 19th edition – with commitment to their societies and outstanding academic records. In its eighteen editions, more than 670 young people have gone through the program.
For two weeks, participants will have the opportunity to meet with the King, senior officials of the public administration and with directors of the country’s main private entities, in an agenda in which, in addition to Madrid, they will visit Brussels and Barcelona.
