Chavez supporters from Venezuela living in Spain, part of the self-declared “Comando Hugo Chávez” (Hugo Chávez’s Unit), have set in motion a website that they describe as an “space of revolutionary disinformation in Spain”.
The website has been named after the group “Comando Hugo Chávez”, subtitled “unidad, lucha, batalla y victoria” (unity, fight, battle and victory), and its objective is to counteract the information published in Spanish related to the Bolivarian regime, which, according to the Venezuelan authorities, has, for the most part, a negative connotation.

The website opens with a title affirming that “even Spaniards make fun of the exclusive of Antena 3 about Venezuela”, which affirmed that leaders of Podemos and the CUP, along with a relative of an ETA member, travelled to Caracas on a plane of the Venezuelan Government to participate in a forum. The title refers to a video that shows a parody spread by the website “Tuerka News” about that trip.
Besides, it includes information about activities of the Venezuelan Government and of Spanish parties related to the regime.
Finally, it announces a documentary titled “Venezuela, una realidad incómoda para la colonia” (Venezuela, an uneasy reality for the colony), whose synopsis affirms that “Campaigns are financed, promoted and created from Spain to overthrow the Bolivarian revolutionary Government at any cost, in a clear agreement of interests to take control, as they have already done in the past, of our wealth and resources, and to stop a powerful Latin American emancipating storm, whose epicentre is Venezuela and its revolution”.
