The seventh Foro de Inversiones y Negocios Turísticos en África: INVESTOUR (Tourism Investment and Business Forum for Africa) will be taking place in Madrid next Thursday, 21 January 2016.
The event, organised within the framework of FITUR, is an annual platform where African companies have the opportunity to talk about new business opportunities and cooperation ventures with companies in the tourism sector at an international level.
As on previous occasions, the Forum is an initiative promoted by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), FITUR and Casa Africa with the objective of promoting sustainable tourism in Africa providing a platform that facilitates dialogue on new business opportunities and cooperation between representatives of African tourism and potential international investors.
Investour comprises two sessions: during the morning there is a technical workshop on tourism in Africa with the participation of leading representatives from the pubic and private tourism sectors on the continent and in the afternoon, there is a Business to Business (B2B) session, meetings between companies and African institutions and potential partners and investors from other continents, in accordance with previously arranged appointments.
Both the Forum and the B2B session will enable a direct contact not only with those responsible for the projects being presented but also with representatives from the ministries of tourism of the African countries taking part in the Forum. It is the ideal framework for tourism companies looking to expand internationally and to get a general idea of the wide range of possibilities in existence on the African continent.
