Under the auspices of the Romanian Embassy, the Instituto Cultural Rumano (Plaza del Cordón, n.º1, bajo dcha.,) presents from 3 to 30 April an emblematic exhibition: The Atlas of Beauty. Women of the world and their stories, by photographer Mihaela Noroc.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on the same Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Institute’s Gallery and will be presented by Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz Fisac, curator of arts and exhibitions, writer and former United Nations diplomat (UNESCO and UNDP) in Switzerland and France. Please confirm your attendance at the opening by sending an email to: icrmadrid@icr.ro or by calling 917 589 566.
The exhibition brings together 36 photographs from Mihaela Noroc’s album The Atlas of Beauty and invites the public to discover, through the faces of women, a diverse, fascinating world and the authentic life stories captured through the lens of the camera. This Romanian photographer offers a different vision that departs from this norm and celebrates the diverse beauty of women around the world.
The exhibition represents a journey around the world, meeting exceptional women from very different backgrounds. From Spain to Japan, from Mexico to Afghanistan, from the United States to India, you travel around the globe through different portraits and stories. Some stories will sadden, while others will make the visitor smile, but it is this heterogeneous mix that defines the complex planet we live on. In an increasingly divided world, this exhibition is a manifesto for love, knowledge and hope.
