Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the triumph of the mythical group ABBA at Eurovision, the Swedish Abba tribute band The New Experience will be performing at The Music Station in Madrid (Cuesta de San Vicente, 44) on 11 April at 8.30 p.m. with their show entitled Evolution.
50 years since those who saw the Eurovision Song Contest in March 1974 were impressed by the entrance of an orchestra conductor dressed as Napoleon, by two beautiful singers and musicians full of sympathy, quality and vitality who reached the top of music history and later composed unforgettable songs such as Waterloo, Chiquitita, Dancing Queen, The winner takes it all or Thank you for the Music, among an immense number of musical hits.
After 8 years of career, Abba The New Experience has positioned itself as one of the best ABBA tribute bands that has performed at festivals and mythical venues such as the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, the Pedralbes Festival, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the International Festival of Cambrils, the Palau Sant Jordi Club or the performance they did in 2021 at the Swedish Consulate. In addition to multiple sell-out concerts in different cities such as Valencia and Zaragoza.
The band is made up of Ana Karina Garcia (vocals), Clara Dini Llobet (vocals), Joaquin Catalan (vocals), Juan Manuel Sanchez (vocals), Jonathan Argüelles (drums), Marc Ferrando (keyboards), Rafael Martín (bass) and Xavier Martínez (guitar).
The masterful formula of ABBA’s catchy melodies and their own sound brought magic into the lives of many in the 70’s and 80’s and have managed to be present in the collective memory of several generations thanks to the inclusion of their most popular songs in film soundtracks, musicals, tributes and compilations published over the years up to the present day.
