The XIV International Magic Festival of Madrid, under the direction of Jorge Blass, returns until the 10th of March to the Teatro Circo Price, a venue of the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, bringing together the best national and international magicians and turning the city of Madrid into the world epicentre of magic for five weeks.
Every year, around 30,000 spectators have the opportunity to enjoy and believe that nothing is impossible. With six performances from 8 to 11 February, the show Magia de Cerca will offer a unique experience at close range in the intimacy of the Parish Hall. In the same show, three of the world’s leading exponents of card magic and micromagic will present their acts: Portuguese magician Nacho Samena will present the act awarded at the last National Magic Congress, in which he fuses his magic with pop music, creating an original and surprising routine; Maga Abril, straight from Buenos Aires, Argentina, will dazzle with technological illusions; and from Ripollet, Barcelona, Joaquín Matas, one of the most renowned Spanish magicians for his exquisite close-up magic, will offer his art.
The highlight of the festival will be the International Magic on Stage Gala, from 14 February to 10 March, with the world’s leading magicians in various disciplines of magic Junwoo Park (South Korea), Josephine Lee (United Kingdom), Bruno Tarnecci (Peru), Gonzalo Albiñana (Spain), Morten Christiansen (Denmark) and the host, Jorge Blass (Spain).
On 21 and 22 February, in addition to the usual cast, Mac King, one of the great American stars of magic, will be performing from Las Vegas. And on 28 and 29 February, the guest artist will be Dani Daortiz, considered one of the best card magicians in the world. For more information, schedules and prices, please consult this website.
