The Embassy of Colombia inaugurates tomorrow Thursday at 7pm, the exhibition La Paz, at the Centro Cultural Gabriel García Márquez, located in the Embassy Residence, which exhibits works by three Colombian artists: Guerthy Yered Gutiérrez, Javier Félix and Juanita Díaz Torres.
The opening of the exhibition will feature a lecture on Birds Transform Lives by Colombian zootechnician Carlos Mario Wagner-Wagner. For the last ten years, Carlos Mario has worked on bird research and conservation projects, especially in the Chocó and Western Andes of Colombia, concentrating his work efforts in the Farallones de Cali National Park and the Important Bird Area (AICA/IBA) Bosque de Niebla de San Antonio – 18 km from the city of Cali – where he currently lives. Additionally, Carlos Mario works on big cat conservation projects, especially the jaguar, supporting Panthera in the establishment of the Jaguar Corridor, one of the most ambitious conservation projects on the planet.
