The Government of Spain yesterday conveyed a “warm congratulations” to the new elected president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, who was victorious in the second round of the elections held on Sunday in that country, and conveyed to him the best wishes for success for the new stage. politics that opens in the country

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Executive extends its congratulations to the candidates chosen in the legislative elections that will make up the new National Assembly, and to the Ecuadorian people and institutions for holding the electoral process, “proof – it indicates – of their firm commitment to democracy, despite the difficult security circumstances in which they have developed.”

Likewise, he assures that Spain will continue to promote its close relationship with Ecuador, “in favor of the well-being and prosperity of our citizens, based on the close economic, demographic, cultural and historical ties that unite our people and their deep shared values.”

Finally, he reiterates his desire to deepen the bilateral agenda and to work in concert at the Ibero-American and multilateral level with the new government, particularly in view of the next Ibero-American Summit that Ecuador will host in 2024, “to jointly confront the important global challenges.”
