The Dominican Republic is the guest country at the third edition of the Festival de la Hispanidad, a series of cultural activities to commemorate the Hispanic language and culture, organised by the Community of Madrid, from today Friday to Sunday 15 October, with the participation of a hundred Dominican artists, 41 of whom come from Santo Domingo, and a total of 120 events.
David Collado, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic and Carolina Mejía, Mayoress of Santo Domingo, have been invited to participate in this celebration of Hispanidad.
“The participation of the Dominican Republic in the Semana de la Hispanidad 2023, says the Dominican Embassy in a statement, is part of the commitment of the Dominican Republic and this diplomatic mission with the dissemination of art, national culture and the integration of our community in the activities that take place in Spain”.
