This evening at 8 p.m., the Instituto Francés of Madrid is offering a screening of Jeanne Du Barry, the new film starring Johnny Depp and Maïwenn, which is also directed by the French actress.
Jeanne, a young working-class girl eager for culture and pleasure, uses her intelligence and attractiveness to climb the rungs of the social ladder one by one. She becomes the favourite of King Louis XV, who, unaware of her status as a courtesan, recovers his appetite for life through her. They fall madly in love.
