The Fundación Japón presents JFF+ Independent Film 2023, a new edition of the online festival of independent Japanese cinema. This year’s edition, which runs until 31 October, includes twelve independent films that reflect “Japanese culture and society”, and which have been recommended by mini-theatres and members of the film industry from around the world.
This is the list of films offered by this year’s festival that will be available for free online viewing through the JFFO+ platform: And Your Bird Can Sing (MIYAKE Sho, 2018); Follow the Light (NARITA Yoichi, 2021); Lonely Glory (SAKON Keitaro, 2022); An Artisan’s Legacy, Tsunekazu Nishioka (YAMAZAKI Yuji, 2012); Hey! Our dear Don-chan (OKITA Shuichi, 2022); A Muse Never Drowns (ASAO Nozomi, 2022); A Girl in My Room (TAKAHASHI Natsuki, 2022); Tenzo (TOMITA Katsuya, 2019); Hanagatami (OBAYASHI Nobuhiko, 2017); Bon-uta, A Song from Home (NAKAE Yuji, 2019); Techno Brothers (WATANABE Hirobumi, 2023) and Bachiranun (HIGASHIMORI Aika, 2021).
