Until 10 September, the Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid presents the exhibition Cuentos (In)Visibles: entre cielo y tierra, organised by the Central Institute for Intangible Heritage of the Italian Ministry of Culture and under the auspices of the Italian Embassy.

Cuentos (In)Visibles: entre cielo y tierra is the second edition of a large travelling exhibition project, focusing on the variety and relevance of intangible heritage, protected by the UNESCO convention of 2003. It is organised by Glocal Project Consulting and staged by OpenLab Company. Fundamental to the realisation of the project has been the contribution of the heritage communities of the Network of the Great Shoulder Machines and the Tartuffe Search and Digging, elements inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The exhibition is made up of works by 15 contemporary Italian artists, including Antonio Ligabue, Matteo Basilé, Bertozzi & Casoni, Paolo Buggiani and Cinzia Sarto, among others, which are confronted thematically with the audiovisual journey composed of the captivating narration of short films made by the director Francesco de Melis and ethnographic reports by the photographers Massimo Cutrupi and Marco Marcotulli, on the Italian intangible cultural heritage.
