Los amores de Anaïs (Les amours d’Anaïs), directed in 2021 by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet and starring César Award winner Anaïs Demoustier and Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, is the next film on offer at the Instituto Francés in Madrid tonight at 22:00. Screening in French with Spanish subtitles.
Anaïs is 30 years old and is unstable financially and in love. One day she meets Daniel and he has a deep crush on her. But Daniel lives with Emilie and she is quickly captivated by Anaïs as well.
Director Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet, after studying literature and drama, worked for a time in publishing. In 2016, she directed her first self-produced short film. Her second short film, Pauline asservie, attracted attention in 2018. It was selected for the Critics’ Week and then for the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, where it received the Jury’s Special Mention and the Télérama Press Award. The film was also shortlisted for the César Awards in 2020 and won awards at several international festivals. Her first feature film, Les Amours d’Anaïs, was presented at the Semaine de la Critique in 2021. Tickets can be booked at this link.
