As part of the Veranos de la Villa 2023 programme, the Fundación Japón presents Tenmei – Destiny by YAMATO Drummers on 8 and 9 August at 10 p.m. in the Central Patio of the Centro Cultural Conde Duque.
As a result of the collaboration between Fundación Japón and Veranos de la Villa 2023, the wadaiko (Japanese drumming) group Yamato will celebrate with the Madrid public the 30th anniversary of its formation by offering its latest show, Tenmei. With more than ten performers on stage and with taiko of all formats, Tenmei is a spectacle.
From the beautiful prefecture of Nara in Japan, this group formed by dozens of musicians who have performed in more than 54 countries since it was created in 1993 arrives in Madrid. Since then, YAMATO Drummers (The Drums of Japan) have shown in nearly 4,000 performances their great originality and innovation through the wadaiko (Japanese drum), a traditional Japanese musical instrument.
