The Orquesta Filarmonía de Madrid presents three great concerts to end its 22/23 season. The three concerts will take place in the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, will be conducted by maestro Pascual Osa and are as follows:

– 21 May at 19.30, Carmina Burana, by Carl Orff, together with Der Rosenkavalier (The Knight Of The Rose), Op. 59 Suite, by R. Strauss, and the concert arias by W. A. Mozart, Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio!, K. 418 and Nehmt meinen Dank, K.383. The concert will feature soloist Bianca Tognocchi. This classical concert is composed by the scenic cantata which is a collection of medieval poems from the 12th and 13th centuries, whose authors were students and clerics. In it, earthly pleasures and carnal love are extolled, thus criticising the social and ecclesiastical elements of the time.

– 3rd June at 19.30, 9th Symphony by L.v. Beethoven, together with Piano Concerto No. 1 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, with the Philharmonic Choir and the pianist Ludmil Angelov.

– 11 June at 19.30, Antología de la Zarzuela 2. A second concert but with a new programme. A journey through different works in which the Orquesta Filarmonía, accompanied by a choir of more than 400 voices, the Ballet Filarmonía and soloists, under the baton of Pascual Osa, will offer a closing concert, in style, bringing the season to a close. Tickets for the three concerts can be purchased at this link.
