For the seventh consecutive year, the Instituto Francés of Madrid proposes to take part in La Noche de las Ideas, which on this occasion will take place on Thursday 27 April from 6.30 pm to 11.45 pm at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid (Calle Alcalá, 42).
It will be an evening dedicated to the diversity of ideas, cultures and the richness of contemporary thought, with a common goal: to reflect on a reconstruction of our societies and to promote together a closer, more representative and democratic Europe, from and for the citizens, capable of facing the current challenges. The events will be held in French, Spanish and English, with simultaneous translation. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
Intellectuals and artists from different horizons will take part, such as writers Carmen Posadas and Sofi Oksanen, sociologist Michel Wieviorka, philosopher Gilles Lipovetsky, philosopher and writer Elizabeth Duval, political scientists Pablo Simón and Ignacio Molina, sociologist and political scientist Cristina Monge, photographer Eduardo Nave, painter and architect Charles Villeneuve, journalists Patricia Simón and Joseba Elola…, and many more!
During this unique evening animated by thinkers and artists on the notion of sustainability, you will also be able to enjoy the performance of the Spanish pianist Isabel Dobarro. With French and Spanish music, the artist will present two different programmes celebrating the encounter between the influences of the two countries.
