The Spanish government yesterday welcomed the arrival in Yemen on 17 April of a shipment of 30,000 tonnes of wheat financed by Spain, together with the United States and France, and chartered by the World Food Programme through the “Grains from Ukraine” initiative.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spain reiterates its “full support for the Yemeni political process and the role of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg”.
Furthermore, the Spanish government welcomes the prisoner exchange sponsored by the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross and the involvement of Saudi Arabia and Oman in the process.
