The Minister of Culture and Sport, Miquel Iceta, received yesterday in Madrid his Italian counterpart, Gennaro Sangiuliano, with whom he discussed, among other issues, the illicit trafficking of cultural heritage and the cultural program of the upcoming Spanish Presidency of the EU.
Iceta received Sangiuliano at the Ministry’s headquarters. During this meeting, according to the Italian Ministry of Culture, the two ministers discussed joint cultural exchange projects between the two countries, activities to combat illicit trafficking of cultural heritage, possible collaborations in the field of cinema and the cultural program of the Spanish Presidency of the EU.
Later, Iceta and his Italian counterpart presided over the inauguration of the Guido Reni exhibition at the Prado Museum, dedicated to this 17th century Bolognese painter, which began yesterday and will conclude on July 9.
