The French-speaking embassies in Spain are celebrating La Nuit de la Poésie, which will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 21 March, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Théâtre de l’Instituto Francés in Madrid.
This evening, organised as part of Francophonie 2023, will be an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of French-speaking poetry in the world. Slammer Jérôme Pinel will offer readings of Francophone poems, including poems by the Romanian-French poet of Jewish origin Benjamin Fondane (14 November 1898, Iași, Romania-2 October 1944, Auschwitz, Poland), as well as songs accompanied by his pianist and guitarist. Throughout the evening, you will be able to taste gastronomy from some French-speaking countries and read a poem of your choice during the “open scenes”. La Nuit de la Poésie is a free event, open to all, reservation required on this link.
