On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8th March), Casa Asia organises a special programme that will take place during this month of March, and will last until April and May, with the aim of joining the efforts used to make visible the situation of women in the Asia-Pacific region.
The consequences of the pandemic can exacerbate inequalities and slow the path to gender equality. More than ever, collaboration between public and private institutions, together with civil society, is key to raise awareness, visibility and action to achieve Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals: achieve gender equality and empower women and girls.
The set of scheduled activities includes film sessions, conferences, courses and interviews among others, with which Casa Asia wants to bring the reality of women in the Asia-Pacific region closer, and learn about the challenges they face in a world that is still unequal in terms of rights and gender equality. The planned activities can be consulted at this link.
