Next Wednesday 22nd February at 11.30 am, the presentation of the creation of the Association of Columbian Cities, CICO, whose objective is to promote and explore the development of a Columbian Route of the Encounter between Three Worlds, Europe, Africa and America, will take place in the Bolivar Hall of Casa América.
Coinciding with the celebration of the Fiesta de La Arribada, on 5 March 2022, declared of National Tourist Interest, in commemoration of the arrival of La Pinta, skippered by the Pinzón brothers to the bay of this town to be repaired, while Columbus continued his route to Lisbon on the Santa María, the mayors of Palos de La Frontera, Santa Fe de Granada (in the photo, its Church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación de Santa Fe), San Sebastián de La Gomera, Baiona A Real, the Cabildo de La Gomera and the Directorate General of Tourism Planning and Promotion of the Canary Islands Government have decided to promote this itinerary that leads to the connection with the three continents, for which it is proposed to form an Association with the intention of carrying out activities in common that enhance the values of the Columbian towns and cities, as well as their monuments, landscapes, trade and heritage, tangible and intangible, linked to the mutual Discovery.
