Mediterraneo Ostinato: il canto del Sabires is the title of the concert that Stefano Saletti and the Ikona Band will be giving next Friday at 8 p.m. in the second concert of the On Stage at the Palazzo cycle organised by the Instituto Italiano de Cultura.

A fascinating world of Mediterranean folk music, a rich mixture of rhythms and melodies, suggestions and colours based, in addition to original pieces, on the Sephardic, Arabic, Balkan and southern Italian traditions. Traveling companions of Stefano Saletti, multi-instrumentalist and founder of Novalia who plays oud, bouzouki, saz baglama, guitar: Gabriella Aiello Sclafani (one of the most interesting voices of world and popular music), Gabriele Coen on wind instruments (great researcher of the Sephardic Jewish tradition), Mario Rivera (powerful and creative bassist) and Giovanni Lo Cascio (percussion and drums already in Novalia). Free admission with previous reservation.
