The Council of Ministers yesterday approved a royal decree granting the Collar of the Order of Civil Merit to the President of Angola, Jo̴̴ão Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
The awarding of the distinction comes days before Their Majesties the King and Queen make a state visit to the African country, scheduled for 6-8 February, in return for Lourenço’s visit to Spain in September 2021.
In addition, the Council of Ministers awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit to Ana Afonso Dias Lourenço, wife of the Angolan president.
