This evening at 8 p.m., the Instituto Italiano de Cultura pays tribute to the actor Nino Manfredi, with the concert Nino! Tribute to Nino Manfredi, starring the Roberto Gatto Ensemble and promoted by the Manfredi family in 2014.
Now that it is 100 years after Manfredi’s birth, Roberto Gatto proposes an extraordinary tribute to one of the emblematic actors of Italian cinema and to all the composers who have written scores that have now entered Italian history and tradition. An agile and versatile ensemble with sounds close to jazz and popular music; a “journey” through musical worlds that, although they may seem distant, in reality are all characterised by strong melodies and great personalities.
Roberto Gatto on drums; Luca Bulgarelli on double bass; Silvia Manco, piano and vocals; Francesco Lento on trumpet; Luciano Biondini on accordion, and Luca Velotti on clarinet, clarinet and saxophones, make up this Ensemble, which will perform the music in this concert, broadcast only on the YouTube channel and the Facebook page of the Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid.
