Echo of Spain in Arabic, in collaboration with Casa Árabe, is organising this evening at 7 p.m. the presentation of the book Spain as seen by the Arabs, a collective work co-written by a group of ambassadors, writers and intellectuals, mostly Arabs, who transmit their experience and vision of Spain.
The event will be attended by Bashar Yaghi, former ambassador of the League of Arab States in Spain, Honorary President of Echo of Spain in Arabic; Rola Fares, writer and Head of External Relations of Echo of Spain in Arabic; Cristina Juarranz, Assistant Director and Programming Coordinator of Casa Árabe, and Fadi Salfeti, President of Echo of Spain in Arabic. Admission is free until the hall’s capacity is reached.
The authors include, in alphabetical order: Bahira Abdulatif Yasin, writer, translator and academic; Marwan Burini, Palestinian ambassador to El Salvador; Shereen Dagani Atwan, presenter in the Arabic Section of RTVE’s Foreign Broadcasting; Reem Khalifa, Bahraini writer and journalist; Hassan Khalil Dia, former Paraguayan ambassador to Lebanon; Pedro Martínez-Avial Martín, former director of Casa Árabe and current Spanish ambassador to Iraq; Rachida Muhammadi, poet, translator and academic; Adel Mustafa Kamel, former Iraqi Ambassador to Spain and current Ambassador to Portugal; Hala Keyrouz, Ambassador of Lebanon and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Spain; Hanan Saleh Hussein, Associate Professor at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville; Ghassan Saliba, President of Associació Catalunya-Liban; Fadi Salfeti, President of Echo of Spain in Arabic; Abdo Tounsi, President of the Círculo Intercultural Hispano-Árabe (CIHAR), and Bashar Yaghi, former Ambassador of the League of Arab States in Spain and Honorary President of Echo of Spain in Arabic.
