Spanish filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta’s moving film about the attacks on the Bataclan theatre in Paris, Un año, una noche, will be previewed this evening at 8 p.m. at the Instituto Francés in Madrid. The film will be released in cinemas on 21 October.
Ramón and Céline are a young couple who find themselves at the Bataclan in Paris on the night of 13 November 2015. During the terrorist attack, they manage, each in their own way, to get into the musicians’ dressing room and take refuge there. When they came out, they were no longer the same. And they don’t know if they will ever be the same again…
The film is the film adaptation based on the book Peace, love and death metal, by Ramón González, a survivor of the terrorist attack, which portrays with luminous nudity the conflicts of today’s world: the threat of terrorism, the confusion of a new lost generation, among others.
