The Association of Polish Graphic Designers (STGU) is organising the exhibition Posters for Ukraine, 30 posters on the theme of the war being waged on the other side of the Polish border, prepared in Madrid by the Polish Embassy. From tomorrow until 24 October it can be visited in the Sala Gante of the Fundación Carlos de Amberes (Calle Claudio Coello, 99).

Also, tomorrow Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Foundation will host the opening of the Cycle of Debates on the invasion of Ukraine: culture, fake news and the road to peace, co-organised by the Instituto Polaco de Cultura and the Fundación Carlos de Amberes, a cycle that aims to echo the current crisis situation in Ukraine and throughout Europe as a result of Russia’s unjustified invasion.

“The exhibition Posters for Ukraine is a response to the war,” says Filip Tofil, a member of the STGU. “When peaceful towns and villages were bombed, Ukrainian illustrators and designers called for posters and illustrations to report on the tragedy unfolding in their country. Artists from all over the world responded to the call by creating images of sadness, fear and hatred, calling for an end to the war, showing courage and giving hope.”
