‘CelloEvolution’, by Josetxu Obregón, at Instituto Italiano de Cultura

Next Thursday at 8 p.m., the musical performances of In scena a palazzo continue at the Instituto Italiano de Cultura, this time with the show CelloEvolution, by the famous cellist Josextu Obregón and director of the ensemble La Ritirata, a fascinating musical journey through the evolution of the instrument.

 

CelloEvolution, the title of his latest solo album, is a wonderful concert that includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Gabrielli, Giulio de Ruvo, Francesco Paolo Supriano, Giovanni Battista Vitali, Domenico Galli, Giuseppe Maria Dall’Abaco. Josetxu Obregón has been a professor at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid for 15 years, and has been awarded more than 13 prizes in national and international competitions.
